Headlamp Washers (again!)

Well, I've finally done it!
I dropped the front bumper off on Saturday and have found the cause of my leak - a broken washer jet.
However, when I removed the bumper I've managed to dislodge the bung at the end of the hose where it connects to the reservoir, no amount of fiddling seems to make it want to go back in. I don't suppose anyone has an easy solution to this one?

Hi Nathan,

I think the washer pump sits on top of the bung I'm talking about. I don't think hot water would make a difference, the bung isn't completely out or in and the problem I have is a) getting access to it and b) working out what angle it should be at.

I'm hoping that my PET CD might help identify how the bung fits!

This maybe a sledgehammer to crack a nut but would it be possible to remove the resevoir etc from the car. This would give you easier access. Perhaps a little washing up liquid on the bung may help relocate it.

Thanks for the suggestions, the car has gone in for a belt service today so I'm going to get him to fix the reservoir at the same time - problem solved!
