DONT KNOW IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME ON THIS ONE.
2002 996 turbo
I have just had to have condensors replaced on the car to get air con working (ouch)
but decided while car bumper was off would get it painted headlamps were removed using tool from kit and all good . decided that the car was looking good and as i just like my cars nice and am not too fussed about all original i fitted a set of 19in genuine porsche 997 wheels.wow i love them the original wheels were a bit tatty and in my own opinion a bit dated. the car now looks fantastic and is it just me or is the car working better all round feels better on the road and handles much nicer i was expecting it to be harder and stiffer but imop its just feels better what do you think is it just me trying to justify the cost or would it make the car better.apart from just looking even better than it did before.
now have a bit of a problem
While drivind the car at night on unlit country roads i feel that the throw of the headlamps was far to short and felt quite nervy at only getting about 30 ft of light not enough .
first thought that the lights need to be re alligned after being removed but we could not find where to ajust them and the manual says to take car to opc.they quoted £50.00 to set them.
my mate put the lights on his mot light machine and he says they are low but legal i just feel they need to go up abit is it diy or do porsche have some magical light ajuster.
OR
Is it something to do with the fact ihave gone from 18 inch wheels to 19 and if so can the lights be set to work with the 1119 in wheels
best regards mick

now had the car about 7 months and wow i just love it each day i just want to get in and drive it not worried about how much i will lose on it whether its raining or if i got to get the kids in and the shopping.
the car just gives me a big grin on my face and i just love it.
pleasure costs and i have never made a profit on a car yet.
