Headlead Washing spray head leak

Has anyone else had a leak on the Headlight Washing Spray head?

I found traces of water in front of the offside (RHS) front wheel and also got the warning to top up the washer bottle. After filling up the washer water bottle I noticed that the water was dripping out of that area quite noticeably. On investigation, after removing the RHS headlight I could see that the water was dripping from the spray head and not from the hose connection where I thought it would be coming from. So much for a quick and easy fix!
On inspection of this spray head, made by Bosch, I could see water dripping out of 2 holes that are diametrically opposite each other. I have removed the head and plugged the feed tube to prevent dripping the contents of my water bottle on the garage floor.
Anyone else had the same fault? I cannot understand how such a simple thing can leak after only 7 years considering that it hardly gets any use on my car.
