Ok a quick guide to adjusting your headlights. I'm not the best at explaining things in words ( I'm more of a talker and do er than a writer ) but I'll have a go. Ok
1 you'll need a 10 mm socket ( pref 3/8 or 1/4 drive) and a long extension about 12 inches and a 10mm spanner pref a ratchet one if you have one.
2 open the bonnet and look down past the lift motor on the drivers side of the car. You'll see that the bar that operates the lights is held in place with a bracket that screws onto the chassis leg with two 10 mm bolts. You'll notice that there are one of these brackets on each side of the car. If you undo these bolts ( but don't take them right out, just loosen them off a fair bit ) you will be able to move the bracket forwards and backwards along the chassis leg a bit. As you move them you'll notice that the lights move up and down a bit. Move the brackets until the lights are sitting in the right place then tighten the bolts.
3 you have now adjusted them for up down
4 in order to move them side ways in the hole you will notice that they are held by pivots that are mounted to the body with three bolts. The triangle shaped pivots are centralised with triangular shims. If your headlights are not central then you will find that a previous person has either not fitted the shims correctly ( ie on the wrong side ) or left them out all together. You can easily remove the inboard pivot using a ratchet spanner, how ever on the outboard ones the bolt heads are up inside the wing right at the point. You will need to remove your bat wing and maybe even your arch liners in order to be able to get at them. Once you have them out then you simply place the shims in place until your headlights are central.
I hope this helps and if anyone knows of an easy way to do it then I'd be only to happy to hear from you.
