Headlight finish?

New member
I've just finished polishing my headlights and, although pleased with the finish, there are some small water marks inside the headlight. I was thinking of spraying the lens to protect them and to use spray with a light tint to partially hide the internal marks, I wondered if anyone had any experience of such sprays?

I've got the same problem in that they need cleaning but I'm not sure what can be used without scratching the lens. What did you use to clean?

I tried the Mcguiars kit, but was not impressed. Although it definitely improved the lights, it was not up to the standard I was after. So I am going to have them professionally cleaned, to a local guy. Will let everyone know what the outcome is.
By the way the price is £60, and will take 3 hrs.
Fingers crossed.[:)]

Well headlights all done and what a difference!! They look like new. Took 2-3hrs and have had a final uv protection coat applied, so really pleased.
This guy also does carbon dipping, and has some fantastic work. Based in Spennymoor, he was recommended by my son in law, after doing his 996 Cab headlights. A real perfectionist. And no he is no relation, never met him until today. If anyone is interested he is "hydroartworx.co.uk. I think when somebody does a great job on our pride and joy they should be mentioned.[:D]

I went on You tube, typed in Headlight restoration, good selection of videos, ended up taking the plunge using different wet & dry sheets. Very pleased with the result.
