Hi Everyone,

The lifting arm on my drivers side headlight has snapped. Does anyone know a good breakers or know of anyone who has bits for sale.

I dont really want to buy a complete new unit, but will if i have to.

Many Thanks

Mark

Simon Butterworth at Porschapart would be worth a call - I've used him for stuff before and he carried a wide variety of kit.

Good luck!

Mark.
If you find out exactly which bit has snapped , you can get some bits from Porsche...
I did this on one of my headlight lifters .

Thanks for the help guys. I thought the dealer would want to fit a whole new unit, which im trying to aviod for obvious reasons.

The bit on the left should have another arm on it.....

I have just looked on the Parts list and almost everything is individually marked -- so as Dave infers, decide what it is you want speak to your Porsche Dealer and he will order it up however small. (I cannot speak highly enough of the parts guys I go to at Porsche Silverstone - they put as much trouble into sourcing the correct £1 bolt as bigger expensisve stuff)

NB Mind you the other arm you mention is called a 'swivel frame' and the issue here seems to be whether you need one of those (looks expensive) as the spherical ball has snapped off in you pictured piece. So, can the remaining bit be unscrewed from the swivel frame - thereby allowing a replacement.

You will poss need one of the adj arms as pictured , as the ball will be difficult to remove from the socket. This is the problem i had...

Hi Big Dave,

Thanks for the reply - yes, i imagine i will need a new arm. Where did you get yours from? Did you have to buy the full fixing unit? Do you still have the part number by any chance?

Thanks

Mark
