Headlight issue

Can't seem to find an answer on here with searching... at the weekend when I turned on my headlights there was a delay of a few seconds before they popped up. I lowered them and raised again, this time they came up in three stages, pausing for a second between each one. Now they are working fine.

Not had a chance to look properly yet at these but anyone got any suggestions what may be up?

Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy My car has a habit of not popping up so you turn them off and THEN they pop-up and go straight down and it may take a few goes to get them up and on, but they always move in a continuous movement. Id look at the earth connection and the position sensing switch., they have contacts that can wear. Just sorted that sort of problem with the electric aerial.

Andy, When my lights have been up (low beam) when I turn them off they close down, when I have had the sidelights on only when I turn the lights off the pods come up and then down again. Always been the same for last 9 years, I assume that the lights are resetting the lift mechanism for when I next turn them on.
