got a slight problem with my headlights. last week i defrosted my windows and forgot to defrost the headlights, got in the car (pre facelift 944) and turned the lights on and they were frozen down so the bar that operates the lights has slipped past the brackets and i cant figure out were the brackets on the lights go in relation to the bar.

if anyone has or can take a picture of the headlight mechanism and headlight bracketry it would be much appreciated.

also is there a certain procedure to time the lights up properly?!

at the moment i have bodged them up so that i could use the car but the dash lights are staying on and draining the battery.

thanks in advance guys

Pic here - lights down

Hope this helps
Will upload a pic of the up in a mo

much appreciated. could do with a picture looking straight down at the two arms/brackets on the headlights that i think touch the rod that the motor turns in both up and down position.

thanks again, its a great help.

Be very very careful.......................

Ensure either the fuse/relay is removed or disconnect the battery.

If you trigger it (and you can) then if that lot turns when your fingers are in there you wont be able to do a Churchillian gesticulation or use a longbow anymore
