Hi there,

Without getting my hands on your car, its difficult to give an accurate diagnosis. However, there are three separate elements/ each wired and fused separately to the pop up headlight system:
1. Lights up
2. Bulb(s) on
3. Lights down

From the symptoms you're describing I'd suggest that the fuse and/or relay for the 'up' system of the lights has failed - I'd suggest looking up the fuse and/or relay for the headlight raise.

I've done a fuse/ bypass on my Turbo so that I can run in 'stealth' mode with the Fog lights on but the pods down. If I try putting the lights up with the main beam stalk pushed forward, I get the same symptoms as you : pod lights on, but still retracted.

Hope this helps - ring me if I can help 07540 193874

Yours

Chris
