Boys and their toys...

Hi all. I have a 1988 944 turbo. You know the ones wheer the headlights pop up in position 1 due to some bizarre legislation that never was. Anyway I have recently done the headlight conversion (thanks to those who contributed to that) and was happy. I say was happy because noticed a small thing. If you have the stalk in full beam by accident before you switch to position 2 the headlights will not pop up until such time as you take the stalk off beam. This means it is possible to drive with full beams but no normal headlights. Is this normal 944 operation or have I made a boob with my wiring? Don't see the wiring boob as a possibilty as after all its only four link wires to put in for the mod. Any thoughts guys?

No it's perfectly normal and to be expected [8D] We advise placing your head in a bucket of cold custard and hiding your wallet - it will be better in the long run

Yeah know what you mean mate. Have not considered the custard yet but my hand at least has been buried in my wallet since buying it. I think I have the bug!! Just have an urge to make what is poss the best car I have ever owned (am a BMW veteran as well)even better!!! Done some nice cosmetics clear lights etc. Thought I might pop the sunroof cable on the back boiler till everything else was done till I nearly sucked it off the roof doing 120 the other night. Hence now bidding for a new drive cable on fleebay. Is this just a honeymoon period? Will the enthusiasm run out before my bank balance does??

Back to your original question: I believe that this is how the (re)wiring of that relay terminal works, or at least how my old S did with the same fix.
