Headlight Upgrade? 981 Boxster

On a 2013 981 Boxster, what are the options (legal) for Headlight upgrade, will the (I suspect) original bulbs have degraded?
living in the wilds of Lancashire the light output - even with main beam seems poor - my cataract operation has helped, but any advise would be welcome

If Halogen, suggest Osram Night Breaker

Alternative but not approved are led bulbs. Much brighter but weren’t previously for road use
