headlight upgrade on 993

Would be interested to hear from forum and/or pointers to elsewhere on headlight upgrade to original equip on 993. Had to drive mine for first time after sunset this week and have to say lights were not great ( they are clean). OK'ish but not great.

Believe I have seen posts prior elsewhere re common bulb upgrades ( not interested in full unit uplifts at this stage). Any advise & sources of said items welcome.
 
Your best bet is to install an aftermarket xenon kit - there are loads of posts in the 993 section about these.

I bought a set for my first Boxster (986) and then transfered them to my current 987 Boxster S - if anything they are even better in the 987 with the projector style headlamp unit (already fitted to your 993). Best £300 i spent on (2) cars [:D][:D][:D]
 
I bought a set from Hids4U last winter and fitted them in Jan after identical problems with the OE lights (nil vis).

If you end up buying the Hids4U set then feel free to give me a call and i will tell you about installing (assuming you end up with the same set I did): 07836 288890. The posts on the site are all very helpful but in about 3 minutes I can probably fill you in on the process.
