headlight washer and relays

hi, got another newby question for you guys.

Now that i've got the car looking good and it survived a hammering journey to le mans, I thought i'd try to sort out the headlight washers. When the lights are popped and the push the stalk in i hear a lick (probably from the relay) but nothing happens. i've searched on here and come to the conclusion that they have separete pumps....is it likely that this is whats gone? or could it be something even simpler?

Also whilst i was looking at the relays i noticed a couple missing from the fuse box:
G8 - Warning Buzzer - what does it does it do and does anyone have a part number?
G16 - Catalytic Converter Warning - what does it does it do and does anyone have a part number?

Cheers

Pull the lead on the pump and test it with a voltmeter. If you have volts but the pump doesn't work.... It sounds as if the circuit is OK if you can hear the relay, so is more than likely the pump

G8 is for a buzzer. That warns! [;)] Seriously, I've no idea!

I guess your car (in the pic anyhow) is an early car, so you won't have a CAT, so why waste weight by adding a fuse for a feature you don't have!

Yeh the car is 1988.....does it not have a CAT then?

Suppose a warning buzzer will only annoy me anyway.

just remembered another thing....whilst in extremely hot le mans traffic last week, whilst inching forward i noticed the car was almost stalling. I had to put down a lot of gas to get it to move. But if i pulled away high revs and thrashed it for a bit it would be fine. it just didn't like sitting in traffic for more than 5 minutes.

any ideas - normal / not normal?

I 'think' the G8 is a warning Gong for the US market. Y'know, to let you know you've opened the door etc

The headlight washer pump is the lower one at the front of the bottle, not very expensive if it is the pump, but a devil to get to. You can interchange the wiring from the screen pump to test (if you use two extension wires)
