Hi Guys, I have to change my headlights from LH to RH for the MOT , the cheepest units I can find are about £120 a side! but I'm sure that I've seen £70-£80 quoted on the forum, can anyone tell me where from please?[:)]

I think you can get through the MOT by masking the LHD headlights. But check with the tester first!

I'm not at all techie but wouldn't changing the lens do the job. I have just replaced a glass on mine for £18.50

There are many opinions on this subject and much depends on what you can "get away" with on an MOT test.

The reality is that the LHD and RHD headlamps ARE different - it's not just the lenses either. The reflector design is different to give a completely different beam pattern and the LHD lights - even with RHD lenses - will technically fail the MOT beam pattern test. Whether your local MOT tester actually cares - or even checks it - is another matter.

At the end of the day it's up to you how much you want to spend to get your car as you want it.

Regards

Dave

If you are mainly using the car in this country then surely it makes sense to change to the correct headlights, if only to stop your lights from blinding people. (not that 964 lights could blind anything as they are poor at best). Sell the LHD ones to someone going on the Continent regularly. (Ebay).
BTW, Beam adjusters will not get you through an MOT.
Cheers,
