Hi

a friend is buying a Boxter 987 and wants to run it in France for a while.

Will he have to change the headlight units or can the lights be adjusted for foreign driving?

many thanks all.

Mike,

The procedure for adjusting the lights will be given in the handbook but here's a useful link:

The beam moving switch is only applicable if the car has the xenon headlight option.

Not sure that's the case Nick, unless there's been a change between the Gen1 and Gen2 cars.

The manual for my 987.2 Cayman shows that it's applicable for both halogen and bi-xenon headlights.

The switch doesn't exist in Gen 1 on Halogen lights for sure.
