Heads Up.....Car for Sale

John - you mean because there was never a Martini special addition? IIRC the stripes were just an optional extra on a standard 3.3...

The guy's been trying to sell it for ages - I think it's still on PistonHeads. Personally I think it is a ridiculous price for a white stickered-up 3.3, no matter how good the condition and certainly not with that mileage. Each to his own I suppose....

There were 19 factory Martini 930s built between 1976 and 1978 - all but one were white, with red white and blue leather interior.
The odd one out is black, with a black leather interior - that car, plus one of the white ones, belongs to Howard Watts, an independent Porsche specialist.
The difficulty occurs because the Martini stripes were also a dealer fit option, and I suspect that they remained as such until the factory ran out of them. So the bottom line is that your car could have the option code for Martini stripes ( M42 ), without being a "proper" Martini turbo.
On a slightly different tack, there is one very nice factory built Martini 911SC that I know of.

Small world.....I got a phone call a coupla days ago to collect and deliver the same car to the auction.....
