Heads up for the next Rennlist 964 meeting

In order to get as good an attendance as possible I am giving advanced notice of a 964 meeting to be held at:

[FONT=arial"]The Worcester Park,
Park Terrace,
Worcester Park,
Surrey.
KT4 7JZ
[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

Tel: 020 8337 1015

on [FONT=arial"]Sunday 16th March,2008[FONT=verdana,geneva"].

All 964s of any variety are welcome - as well as a growing number of ex-964 owners with more "updated" machinery!! Free coffees and bacon sarnies are on offer as well as an unsurpassed camaraderie and general tyre kicking!!

It's been a long ambition of mine to get a gathering of 964s to exceed the 24 cars last seen at John Miles' Devon event in 2006 and the last Worcester Park meet in October last year came VERY close.

With this much warning I'm expecting all and sundry to arrange their diaries to suit - let's make it a good one!!!

Meeting time will be around 10:30 up until the last stragglers roll in. Look forward to seeing you all.

Regards

Dave

One day I'm going to make the long trip down there to meet you guys and sample Raymond's hospitality [:)]

But since this one is the day after the RS day at Oulton, me and the car will probably be too knackered [8D]

Have a good one chaps.

Apologies for the newbie question, but I assume "the Worsester park" is a pub and the meeting place is in its carpark??

It is As you've guessed, I'll be there as usual, and Raymond our host as ever will be providing coffee and Bacon butties...

Great, just what I need Dave.

I've only just got the car on the road and if Jon Mitchell can work some magic next week sorting out the flat spot on initial revving of the engine I'll be there.

Mine will be the rare! Guards Red one. Well a slightly orange and red Guards red actually.
I'm a 964 virgin, leaving the Boxster at home and it'll probably be the first good run.

Looking forward to learning loads and meeting fellow owners.

Anyone else going up from Hampshire on the A31 route?

Bob.

Dave,

You'll probably being getting a mail from Alex shortly, I've reminded him of who does the Rennlist organising [:D]

Kevin

Regret will be recovering from Oulton at Race-Retro.[;)]

But Ray does make some excellent bacon butties and black coffee!! Have fun.

Just bumping this as a reminder that the meeting is next Sunday - 16th.

I fully understand the reluctance of those recovering from the Oulton funday - sorry, track day - we'll take a raincheck for the next one!!!

It's looking good with promises of a lot of 964s and 993s, a smattering of GT3s and a veiled threat from a Maserati!!! Look forward to seeing you all there.

Regards

Dave

Judging by the interest on 911uk Dave, I think you should warn Raymond that he might need to slaughter another pig.

Is this meeting just for 964's (I like 964s) [;)] or can other porsches attend?

Jason,

Any 964 enthusiasts are generally welcome. This meeting however took place back in March!!! There will eb others - there is a East Midlands meet scheduled for 11th May. There is a post specifally about that meet in the 964 Forum.

Dave

Dave,

Now my new carpets are fitted, we could always have one, end of May??? least wise I can put up with 4hours of driving and soundproofing now..

Kevin

Kevin,

The last Sunday of May is the Porsche Day at Gaydon which I'd quite like to attend. Either of the first couple of weekends in June are OK by me although you might want to avoid the first Sunday - I know 911 addict and a lot of the Turbo guys generally go to Cornbury House. Put another poll on Rennlist and get a general consensus as before.
