Heat Exchangers

I have been advised that I need to replace my heat exchangers shortly.

Is this a job anyone has tackled them self? If so how long would you estimate it takes to replace them and are there any certain areas / weak points to look out for?

I have seen on the Type 911 website there three different types of finishes, mild steel, aluminised steel, polished stainless steel. Apart from the stainless steel is there much difference between the first 2?

I would like to try and tackle this job myself, so any comments, advise would be greatly appreciated, if not I'll have to resort to the garage.
