Heated door mirror

I removed the mirror glass (which was onto held on by sticky pads) from the passenger side door mirror to find that one of the connectors has broken off on the glass, tried to stick it on but with no success.

Any suggestions or will it prove impossible to fix.

Dread to think how much a new glass will cost.

Did you use the special "superglue" for glass? These special adhesives should do the job provided everything is really clean.

If you need to remake the electrical connection to the mirror glass you will need to use an electrically conductive (usually silver loaded) epoxy.
This is avaliable from Maplins. Admitted it is not cheap but less expensive than a new mirror

The heated mirror glass turned out to be beyond repair, so I zoomed down to JZ Machtech for a new one.
It was all fitted and fixed in five minutes.
