Heated Mirros always on on with key in!

This weekend noticved that with the ignition key in and on pos 1, (for roof / radio on my s2 cab) the mirrors are red hot!

Cant see a switch for them, no heated rear window of course, but have "demist" button and of course the adjuster knob for the leccy mirrors.

Is it right that they should be on whenevet the ignition is on or even kwy posn 1? Or do I have a fault!??
 
I think this is normal on cabs.

As I recall, they don't have heated rear windows (which the coupe's do), and hence don't have the switch for them. That happened to be the switch that turned on the heated mirrors as well .... go figure ... !
