Heated windscreens for 911

I noticed in Classic & Sportcar this month that URO Glass now do heated windscreens for some classic cars. Anyone who has owned a car (Mondeo, Focus etc) with one of these will know that they are fantastic at instantly demisting the screen.

I have contacted them to see if they can be persuded into producing a screen for the 911 as the aircooled 'heater' is not the best... maintaining 4000rpm to get enough hot airflow to demist can be worrying on a icy day...

I mentioned to them that I would ask amongst the club to assess the potential market, this may encourage them to lay down a tool. I do not know what the price would be, but they do a heated screen for the Beetle for only £125, so less than £200 would be a reasonable guess.

I could be interested (assuming it comes top tinted), although my air-con generally does quite a good job.

Depends a bit on money (or my lack of).
 
Page 155 of the 2004 Demon Tweeks catalogue quotes a price of GBP 280 + VAT for a heated windscreen for a 64-89 Porsche 911 (Part No. 6709AGNH). The manufacturer's name is not specified but the small print halfway down the page states that a minimum order of 10 units is required, although it is not clear whether that refers to the heading "For Unusual Applications" (???) just above the small print and not to Part No. 6709AGNH. Hope the above is of help.
