My heat blower motor won't stop running even though the control is turned down to min, any idea's ??

Go on, somebody must know how the motor is controlled!!! Its going to drive me mad on the way to Le Mans and back [:(]

Sorry and surprised there's no response. Had this problem many years ago either on a 924 or when I first got my 911. I seem to remember detaching the heating control panel from the dashboard ( taking the knobs off first ) which exposed an electrical brass sliding arrangement for the blower motor. Cleaned this up and all was fine. This was about twenty years ago and memories of the job are pretty poor. Fan is still running well today.
Hopefully someone gives a better answer soon.

hi phil, first thanks for replying to my post re chiffon white, if possible could you find out what year the member in your regions 911 is.
the post that sep4 has left is probley what is wrong, the sliding lever is more ythen likely got dirt in it stopping the connection from cutting off. does it go from full down to min speed or is it the same speed regardless of lever position.

it is the heat blower on the dash that you are talking about i take it and not the one between the seats

Steve / Sep4,
Its actually the hot air blower that's controlled by the dial between the seats that I've got the problem with, the cold air one is fine except for hte occasional squeek!!

hi Phil, the dial between the seats has a fuse in the engine bay , open up the engine lid and on the left side is a smallish plastic black cover held on with two wing nuts, cheack the fues ends are clean and try again. it sound silly but i had a smilliar problem with mine a few years ago.i took apart the box in between the seats no find not a lot to do as it is aprinted circut. thats when i cleaned the bits in the engine bay and all worked.
