Hi,

I have a 986 Boxster, owned it for last 8 years and shes never missed a beat, but now the heater only works if its on max or HI, if i have it any lower than this its off, so no temperature regulation.

When i switch it to HI I get a radiator like hot steam smell with it, ive checked the coolant level etc and its all good even had it bled to see if any air locks but all good.

Any advice on this its ok now the weather is warm but come the cooler days its either Cold or a sauna in the car.

Best regards,

Mike :ROFLMAO:

There is cabin temperature sender behind the passenger vent. It is quite common for this to fail with the symptoms you describe. Parts is a little. Pricey, but straight forward for a diy'er to fit.
