Heater problem.

I have recently taken delivery of an '02 C4 and noticed a problem with the heater. It only blows out hot air when the temp. is set to high. On all other temp. settings it is coming out cold. Any ideas? Will be contacting the supplying garage tomorrow, but I'd like to have some idea as to what is happening.

Sounds like a faulty interior temperature sensor, which is being overridden when the temperature is set to High. The sensor is in the passenger side dash, just below the side vent.
