Heater slider knob

Chaps,

I'm in need of a heater slider knob for an oval-dash 944, part number 944 653 205. There are two of them on the car, one to control the airflow up towards the windscreen, one to control the airflow down towards your feet. My current one seems to no longer stay clipped in place. It looks like this;

If anyone has a good spare then let me know - I'll happily PayPal some money over (or do a direct bank transfer.)

Thanks,

Oli.

If the plastic legs are not broken you may try to put them upside down. That's what I did and can't be bothered if the arrows point upside down.

Gerry,

Thanks, I'll happily cross your palm with gold for that, or make a donation to a charity of your choosing (within reason ... I may draw the line at some international Jihadist movement ... )

£12.00 each from OPC

I was quoted nearly double this from my local OPC this morning. While £22.something isn't a lot of money, it seemed outrageous for a piece of plastic smaller than a sugar cube, hence this thread. However it does suggest that different OPC's sell things at different prices, which surprises me a little. I wonder whether the guy in mine made a mistake?

I put a tiny dab of superglue on mine and it held in place with no problems.
Yes, I've thought about this, but it will mean that when you need to remove it (which you occasionally do) then it will be quite difficult.

Blu-tac or some less permanent glue would be another option.
