Help, went out for couple of hours tonight and the heater is only blowing cold air. . . .HELP
any where i need to look first. . . . ,
Dave

oval or square dash oval dash disconnect battery and rermove glovebox; check the little rod is connected very cheap from opc 99p odd square; check the spring wire connection to the valve on the hot water control valve.

Hi nutter, its an oval dash. . . but i was looking under the bonnet last night, and i saw a small plastic vacum pipe disconected ( at the back of the cylinder head ), so i connected it back up. . . .coincidence. . . . as i,m sure it was working before that, Dave

Well the heater control unit is vacuum oprated and there is a vac accumulator on the drivers side front scuttle. If it is now working then now you know. If the pipe was disconnected then it would not have been working but you might not have had occasion to use the heating system.

Well when i drove the car back the heater ws working, but the pipe was diconnected, obviously when i connected it up last night i " broke it " again. . . . bugger ! Dave

When the "little" clip and retainer fail the heater defaults to hot...................VERY HOT []

Well i drove the car lastnite, i havnt disconnected the pipe yet, so still no heat BUT when i pressed the button on the dash to demist the screen, the heater was hot. . . . . ?

ORIGINAL: Frenchy When the "little" clip and retainer fail the heater defaults to hot...................VERY HOT []
