Found a cure today for any 3rd undertray owners (the aluminium one on turbos with the aero fins), who is having 10mm bolt wont tighten as threads are fcucked (me) issues. I'm talking about the threaded posts on the inner wing that after 30 years no longer wish to work properly. Surely I am not alone!

Anyway, bought a die set today to try and reinvigorate the posts, didn't work. Then a Heath Robinson moment, simply use the M6 1mm die as the securing implement, boom perfect. Tight as a drum. Ordered another to do the not quite as bad side. Worth adding a 10mm spanner using open end to tighten die and a little bar through the ring end for purchase is all that's required to complete the job!

There is one of those undertrays on ebay at the moment - I was considering getting it but as my car as been without it most of its life it wasn't at the top of my list of things to buy.

Nice idea about tapping the threads though - the threads on the bottom of my x-member aren't too great but still just about holding on!
