[FONT=arial"]Just wanted to ask a question about these.
There has been a lot of talk about replacing the heatshields and the exhaust studs and wastegate and turbo studs and nuts on pistonheads also worrying noises about sticking waste gate actuators,I only mention that because i have had 0.9 bar shown on odd occasions ( they arent stuck though)
one or two people have had a horrendous experience with bits falling off and then expensive bills
So whilst I was getting the oil (0w-40 mobil1[;)])changed on friday i had a look underneath and was suprised to see all my nuts and bolts looking in quite good nick. Now i have a major service coming up and whilst the bumper was off i was going to get all of this done, the car is a keeper.Tony Wright said they looked pretty good so I am now in quandry.

Do i leave everything as is,replace the whole lot. or just replace the nuts.I was sort of veering towards the third option, but which nuts, the other thought which crossed my mind was all metal stainless steel self locking nuts (philidas a2 grade stainless)rather than the original panzer steel or copper plated self locking nuts, should I get the studs done do i use stainless studs, can you think of any other uselful things to check while the bumper is off

also just a query can you check the timing chains

all advice gratefully received
