Heavy downpour then car wont start?

Guest

Ive recently taxed my 944 and covered about 130 miles in varying conditions and the cars been fine , apart from a leaking radiator.

Then we had a really bad downpour a couple of days ago and i tried to start the car yesterday and it turns over but won't start. It seemed low on fuel so ive put a jerry cans worth in and it still wont fine up.

Any ideas what could have caused this?

(Its a 86 2.5 lux)

Just tried starting the car again and its started first time?

Very odd , could have been fuel after all and took a while to get through to the injectors from the tank?

Hi

If the car has been loe on fuel or indeed recently ran out and been refilled it could have been an air lock in the fuel rail, not long after I had my Lux it did this and the solution was to place loads of rags at the end of the fuel rail and release the nut on the end then gently turn over once and tighten the nut.

If the problem re occurs then try that it worked for me and a couple of other owners I have suggested this to

Wil
