Yep it's easy...

What are you helicoiling?
What size? Basically you drill out the old stripped thread using special drill for the size helicoil you are fitting, then re tap hole with special helicoil tap, insert helicoil and break off tang. That's it!!
I have them and am in glasgow

Depending upon the application Darren, you may want to take a look at using a TIME-SERT thread insert as an alternative to Helicoil especially if a bolt is to be removed periodically [ http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=668918&mpage=1&key=time-sert&#668922 ].

Do it yourself. as Gordon says if you can hold a drill you can put a heli-coil in. If you feel that you cant do it then give me a buzz and I'll help you.

ive found Cromwell to be best place for buying hellicoil sets rather than Wurth who do the timecert ones for example £20 for 10 helicoils inc kit for m8x1.25 from Cromwells or 4 x same size and tooling fro Wurth for £118 ok depends what ur using them for ? u pay the bucks

Did two helicoils on my sons Boxster a few weeks back. Both calliper bolts stripped on the osr carrier.

First was pretty nerve racking, second time round a walk in the park

Agree with comments about giving it a go yourself
