Hello Fellow Turbo Owners!

Well i recently took the plunge and bought myself a tip 2001 996 Turbo after fancying one for quite some time! I've owned several 996's and early 911's in the past and thought i'd see what all the fuss was about.
It's been a nice change as my business is selling Jap Imports so this is a totally different car for me and i absolutely love it. Being a car dealer i put it up for sale this week but after driving her again i quickly decided i couldn't possibly sell for the forseeable future..........this is seriously out of character for me!
I've recently sold my +600BHP R34 GTR and i've also had some 600BHP R32 GTR's and an 800BHP R33 GTR, yes they were quick but they were also very noisy / hard ride / noisy / acheive around 6MPG and once again noisy! My Porsche is quiet (but i would like a sports exhaust now) and pretty decent on the fuel side, it's comfortable and goes really well........yes, i am smitten )

My wife says we have to plan until she's 105 ... !

And that I will therefore need to retire no earlier than 80 ....

I am thinking of selling my original (brand new) 997 Turbo rims if you are interested?

Certainly would be Alex but for the small and ever so slightly irritating matter of not having a car to put them on [:(] !!

Very nice.

Any problems getting those 997 turbo 19's in the arches ?

Yves

Hi Yves,
They went straight on without any problems, i'm just trying not to kerb them just yet! Whilst i had the wheels off i tidied up my calipers as some idiot (previous owner) had used wheel acid on the original wheels and damaged the laquer. Armed with some fairy liquid in warm water and some wire wool i just lightly rubbed the calipers over then flashed them over with clear laquer........good as new and looking good behind my new wheels [8D]
Dave.
