Thought I would just say hello on this forum.

After 8 1/2 years of 944 ownership 'She who must be obeyed' suggested it was time for a change so this afternoon I collected a Boxster S in Arctic Silver on an 02 plate. Looking forward to finding out all it's foibles etc. I'm sure I will be asking lots of questions so please be gentle with me.

Well done mate, i had a 944, then 968, just got my Boxster for Crimbo and love it so far!!! im sure you did your home work before you bought it? being a Porsche owner for so long, these are amazing cars enjoy it, good motoring.

Hi Mike

That's what I call a prompt reply. I tried to learn as much as I could about the Boxsters and managed to get the dealer to fit new tyres on the rear as well as new discs and pads all round. I must admit that when I drove to collect the car I had a last spirited drive along 10 miles of country roads and thought to myself why am I getting rid of this superb handling car.
