Just wanted to say a big Hello to everyone from Me and my Family!! We've just imported our first Porsche project and it arrived on Thursday.

Having done many classic Volkswagen restorations over the years it has always been my dream to move up to doing a Porsche and now after having waited patiently we now have finally got there!

I'm sure i'll be on here boring you all with many stupid questions from now on!..... Sorry in advance [:D]

Hi Bernard,

Ours is a 1971 911T it's a LHD one as it's from the States, I was a complete nerd and tracked it all the way from Los Angeles! I've started taking it apart and fixing things, currently working on the passenger side door lock....

Unfortunately it's had a bad paint job recently and they've painted over some of the rubbers, they haven't fitted the window rubbers back properly and there's loads of bit's that haven't been connected back up! They've also painted all the chrome, black!

Wish me luck!!

Are there many second hand parts suppliers anymore? I've found a couple in PP and online but not many.

Do many people sell used bits at club meetings and shows?
