Hello!

I picked up my first Porsche last month, a 2007 Cayman, and joined the PCGB the next day. I thought it was about time I said hello, as a large part of the reason for getting a Porsche was that I'd heard so many good things about the club and I'm looking forward to meeting you and coming along to some events soon.

I'm enjoying the car more and more as I'm getting used to it, although spring can't come soon enough so I can properly stretch it on the Moors and Dales roads.

So far I'm getting the seats recovered, as the driver's seat in particular is worn and the leather is split in places. I'm also interested to see what I can do to modernise the Bose sound system. I understand that I can replace the CDC-4 autochanger with something that I can connect to with bluetooth, which is appealing as I'd rather keep the original head unit if possible.

Cheers (and season's greetings and all that)!

Welcome to the Club, Graeme and especially welcome to R7. There's a club night in a pub/hotel three Wednesdays even throughout the winter.

First Wednesday: Woodlands Hotel, Morley, Leeds (LS27 7LW) although this is NOT happening on Wednesday 5th.

Second Wednesday: The Red Lion, Todwick (S26 1DJ)

Third Wednesday: The Blue Bell, Arkendale (HG5 0QT). Change of venue, commencing on 15 December

Fourth Wednesday: Please check the Forum for venue changes

There are also "Sundi Brekki" events - see this Forum for details, and other events and drives will be posted there as well.

Look forward to meeting you before too long

Graham

Welcome. I hope you enjoy the Club ad much as we do.

I will dig out the link, but we had a little blue tooth kit off Amazon or EBay that replaced the CD changer, about £118 if I remember rightly.

Came as a full hands free kit but we just used it to connect blue tooth to our phones for music etc.

it integrated with the PCM system and looked just like a CD player to it so you got track information.

I look forward to getting out on some runs with you.

Welcome to the club Graeme. As for the car I would say ‘once driven, forever smitten’
As for the club, view it as a lifestyle change with opportunities to do things and go places that you never thought you would. The people are half decent as well.????????
See you at some event soon.

Chris
