Hi guys just in California as you do.... not much 912 action as yet but I did see one about 10mins from the airport which was cool and a 914. Just been talking to the last owner of my car and he told me a few things I didn't know so interesting..

and it's Sunny [:D]

meeting the guys ( 912 boys later in the week ) and a few 356's as well..

Just to get you jealous here's a pic from our aborted North Wales run today:

Hi California from cold but snowless Lincolnshire

Just a thought. Would you be able to investigate the history of a red 912 with California plates (2UVZ510) for me? It would have been exported around July 1999?

Many thanks

you would have to check out the DMV site and chase from there but the records of acar once it leaves end and you if not done quickly will lose the track so I doubt it.

Thanks, anyway.

I've already ben round that buoy, thought some personal knowledge might have helped!

Ah well.

Well I have spent a fortune and now I am going to Easy tomorrow with the guys. I spent the whole afternoon in Parts Heaven and spent even more in there. Well it had all the stuff you could ever want. Like I need a gear knob for the 65 I will just look in this box of oh!!! 50 or so for the best one...$15

So much stuff. Some of the prices are silly like $460 for a used hood ( bonnet ) from PH which is way over the top can be found for $150-300

They even had 356's for breaking Such a shame......

We have seen a number of cars on the road and others parked up.. About 15 or so cars. A few Nice VW's. Ca as an area has rocketed in value over the last few years. House prices are 3 times what they were 5 years ago.. Cars of all types Classics has risen as well. It's a bit of a boom over here at the mo. So it's harder to find good cars. I am looking it to a 230 or 250 SL Merc as there are lots here and for what I think sensible money $12-15K 65-72 era.

Any one want a green( yellow ) 912E as I am going to drive one later this morning and I have a feeling it will be offered for sale.Nice clean car not a bargain but not expensive. Has the orginal fuel injection but no refactors. Fuschs rims as well. With Air and sun roof.

Well we have a few more days here. Jo is going on a PCA Porsche run to the Napa Wine valley with Tony and his Wife and the rest of the bunch I am going to do boys things and going to a KKK meet with the 912 boys in North San Fran. Over from Golden Gate Bridge..

When are we moving here??????

Saw Ebay HQ stopped for a P**s by the sign :ROFLMAO:

So far spent er way too much!!!!!! but what the hell.

To day was Porsch'a Heaven.. Started out by dumping the hire car in a shopping mall. Jumping in with Wally and his Green 912. Meeting up with 2 others then calling Dave Hillman out to meet up with us all.

4 of us hit the Gas station and then the freeway from San Jose to San Fran about 45 min run.. We hit 90 a few times. the Sun was out in force and it was HOT HOT HOT!!!!!! ( About bl***y time ) Zipping in and out of plastic Honda's and other junk. We got to Easy with about 99% of the donuts in tacked..... Then we had a Coffee and met up with every one. I recon there was about 25+ cars there. 4 Irish Green 912's ina row... see common colour [;)]

4 Speedsters Real ones 4-5 356's several 911's all pre 73 era..

What a place Easy is Jim was real cool guy to meet and I will be buying more... Dispite their best efforts I didn't buy the RHD Irish Green 912 that was there and for sale $8,000. for a starter project rat look 912 was way too steap for my buget. Even if it was a RHD. Pictures to follow of the day..

Once the day was over and all the buying was done...... we hit the road again and zoomed back from San Fran back to the hills for a meet and lunch with the PCA tour that was going on in the Wine area. Where I had left my Jo with Tony and his wife. She is now a 912 356 fan and wants to do more runs out... looks like a move to Ca then [:D]

I was expecting to get an ear full because I had left her to do Car stuff but Jo really enjoyed it with big smiles all over her face.. She was running a 912E. Another drive back to San Jose past Ebay bay HQ []and then I got to drive the soft back Targa to get my hire box... what a day we loved it ........

Looking to book to come about again!!!!!!!

Doesn't get much better than that!

Got my car back last week so raring to go...

Catch up when you return, see any horn grills? Should have thought of that before, :(
G

Yes i did see horn grills and as I was holding them I was thinking I wounder if Gav needs them still......

Call Al at Parts heaven I know he has some as I had them in my hand. they were painted matt black which under the paint the chrome seamed very good. I think the paint protected the chrome.. But I will say I was at Easy and the prices at Easy over Parts heaven were much better.. Al used to work for Jim at Easy. I bought some seatbelts and a 912 book and I was 50 bucks over the top compaired to Easy ( Jims Place )

Gav I should have had a 912 sticker to put on Jim's window for you. i did put a DDK sticker on there as tom sent me some down. I will be going back again..

the camp out at Origon sounds like it might be the last one ever SO I am booking my flight for August... To San Fran and then a drive to origan from there.

So the 912 RHD they had out there...

here it is and for sale but see the car first then the price is below
