Hello from newbie 993 owner

PH

New member
I just wanted to say hello. I have lurked on here for a long time reading up on the pitfalls and pleasures of having a 993.

After 5 years of 964 ownership I got a 993 C4 on Saturday. Having being casually looking for over a year, waiting for the right car to turn up.

I would like to thank Maurice for all of info he has put together under FAQ and technical advice. I have spent several hours reading the info over the past week when I should have been working. The info contained has told me alot which although being a porschephile, I did not know. (I should perhaps have read the info before buying the car!)

How do you become part of the 993 register?

Paul

I picked mine up a week ago, but its not registered in the uk yet (import) I can not decide which register to join, 993 or turbo, or both?

looking forward for instructions that say how to do it.

Welcome to you both.

To join a register download the form from
http://www.porscheclubgb.com/uploads/registers/50/993%20REGISTER.pdf
And email it to 993 at porscheclubgb.com

However, Maurice Piper our Register Secretary is currently away, so don't expect a fast response.

I'm not sure there is anything to stop you joining both the 993 register and the Turbo. The practical impact of what you join is not too significant as, broadly, everyone gets involved in everything.

Don't forget to tell us all about your cars and how you found them - photos too.

Welcome both of you to the world of four wheel smiles... ;-)

...Maurice is indeed a star, has always been a considerable help & the things he knows! - Anyhow, enjoy!
