Hi PCGB

My name's Mark, I'm 24 and I've got a 1987 944 Auto.
I've had it just over a year and now circumstances have allowed me to spend a little more time and a bit more money on it!

It's a work in progress at the moment, but it's pretty special!

This was one of my dream cars growing up, and to finally have the pleasure to own and drive one on a daily basis is pretty cool!

Would love to hear from some of you and look forward to chatting in the near future.

Welcome Mark....congrats on choosing such a great car ...as Paul said...we love pictures...:)

Pete

It is a three speed, but a different part to the Audi 200 3spd auto transaxle found in the series one cars.

Sadly, this is the extent of my knowledge, despite owning one.

Photos, Mark. We need photos.

Here's a joke for the assembled members; What's the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine? Answers on a postcard to the usual address, chaps.

Oli.

Very good Alan, very good! 'Porcupine' rhymes with 'Porsche' better than 'hedgehog' does but it could be either I guess.

Anyway, where are Mark's photos? Come on Mark, we want to see your machine!

Welcome to the club and the forum Mark.

The 944 is an excellent car and I hope you have many enjoyable driving miles with it.

Mark

Welcome to the club and enjoy your 944, they really grow on you - the 944 register is a great group of people and source of information on all things 944

regards

John

Hi Mark,

Great to see another younger guy with a 944. I have also owned my 944 for a year now and thoroughly enjoying it - every time I get back in I fall in love all over again!

My car was featured back in the June issue of Porsche Post if you're interested :)

Here's to many happy and reliable miles.

George

The two thicker posts are the bottom shock absorber mounts, the tiny little thing is a rubber strap for holding brake lines into the torsion tube, all perished so replaced with a cable tie!
Just left it there cos it's attached to the top of the torsion tube.

Welcome, Mark, and congratulations on the 944. You've done well - I had to wait until I was 48 until my dream came true!
Simon
