Just saying hello having bought, almost by mistake, a 1990 C2 today. It needs a bit of work but seems to be a decent car. It certainly sounds the part compared to my previous 944 Turbo.

I'm very happy to have a Porsche in the garage again.

Guards Red C2 on PH, with soon-to-be-replaced black boxster wheels and dodgy ride height. It needs a suspension refresh and some rust looking at but seems like a decent car.

Cool I thought as such as I have met the seller a couple of times (Tom) at Donington and its a good straight C2 for the cash. Great base for some enhancements even if some minor tidying is required.

Rennlist has a good 964 section (bit more active than here) and if you are interested the London 964 guys are meeting on Sat 11th August near Guildford. Its mthly so if you cant make August then there will always be another one.

Enjoy the car

Thanks Andrew. I am meant to be camping next weekend so I don't think I will be able to make it but I'd be up for a meet next time. I'll have a look over on Rennlist.

Good luck with it.

I too have recently become a 964 owner so we can climb the rocky road to getting them sorted together!

Good work! Mine is like a member of the family now - we all love it! Just finished a bare metal respray and well worth all the tidying they are great carsvfor the money.

All the best

Congrats.

We can compare gory details ;)

Mine is going to be pretty gory.

Oil pouring from (it seems like!) every orifice.

It has gone in for a full engine rebuild.

I'm not being funny, but didn't you check it out before you brought it?

That rebuild is going to cost £7-£8K I'm afraid, even if it has been menu priced there will be other things that will need doing at the same time. The positive is that it will be like new once done & ready for the next 100K miles.

I hope you negotiated a good deal anyway.
