Hello

New member
Just joined the PCGB and the forums.

Bought my Boxster in July as a replacement for a much loved TVR, which I ran for 15 years. Decided I needed something a bit more civilised after a week long trip in the TVR to the Stelvio, Lake Como, Col du Turini and other passes. Overheated on the Stelvio, broke down in Davos, fried me silly stuck on the M25 in 30c with no aircon on the way home.....

So Porsche it is.

Look forward to meeting you all at some point. I'm getting conflicting messages about the monthly meet venue - some areas of the PCGB site say the Five Alls at Filkins (including the event calendar for tonight), but this forum says changed to the Carpenters from September. Which is it guys? (Won't be there tonight anyway).

Based in Curbridge (near Witney).

Welcome aboard Paul - sounds like you live within walking distance of me in West Witney. I think I may have seen you driving around once or twice.

R31 meetings are being held held at the Carpenters Arms in Fullbrook these days as the car park at Five Alls never had any space to park. Sadly, I couldn't make the meeting last night either so not sure what the turn out was like. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to report on what happened though.

Look forward to catching up sometime.

Hi Alan

Guess you live on Deer Park? I think mine is the only white Boxster in the area, so it will be me if you've seen it around.

Look forward to meeting you soon.

Welcome fellow Boxster owner. Sorry that you could not meet us all at the Carpenters Arms last night, but hopefully you will be able to join us for Christmas lunch at the Mill House Hotel. See the R31 forum for more details.

Last night a few turned up and we discussed the workers conference, the Porsches & Planes event next June, the PCGB 2014 National Events, oh, & scoffed a couple of bowls of chips as well as downing a few beers[:D]

Indeed Paul. Hope to catch up with you sometime. BTW, there's also an open day at Club HQ in Moreton-in-Marsh on Sunday 8th December. Details are on the Club's website or Facebook page. There's usually a good turnout and it's a good way to meet some of the other members.

Can't make the Christmas lunch @ Mill House Hotel due to prior commitment - nice venue though - we have been several times for lunch / evening meal and always very good.

Hope to get to the open day 8th December.
