Hi,
I am new to the forum.
I would like to know where to get 2 front wings for my newly aquired 1982 911sc the type with the indicator repeaters in.

cheers

John

you should keep an eye on ebay, or try Porsch Apart also the classified pages of 911 Porsche World magazine are often useful
There was, may still be a pair of wings on ebay, in the parts by car section, or was it in the parts for classics section,I can't remember, but I listed it in the post about a car for 3,800 which is in this SC section

Congrat's Derek , nice choice of wheels, post some pics when you have them, search first if you have questions, there is quite a bit of useful SC stuff here, it will be quicker than waiting for a reply.

Welcome to 911 ownership Derek. Nice looking SC...I really like silver without a tail.

That's the start of my Pelican Parts wish list done.

First on the list is to upgrade the candles. I think a couple of old beetle 6v headlamps will be an improvement [;)]

Three things you need to do for better lights:

1) Clean the inside of the headlight lenses.

2) Fit some hi-performance bulbs.

3) Fit a relay kit, I got a Sucro kit HERE

These three jobs combined to bring my lights from a dim glow to almost modern standards!!

Hi Derek,

I looked at that car a couple of years back, and was very keen on buying it, but it was unfinished at the time so it never happened. (Guy somewhere outside Linlithgow as I recall). Lovely original car, and well looked after, and so much nicer without the tail. In the end I bought a 964, but that's another story.

I am intrigued by the photographs, because I have copies of them on my computer. At first I thought I must have taken them, but on reflection I think maybe the owner must have sent them to me. Strange to see them again.

Looking forward to seeing the car

Hi John,

Thanks for adding to the post.

The guy I bought the car from was called Andy Revell and he lived in Torphichien. The photo listed is one of a few he sent me.
His new son is 5 months old now so as I've bought his car of 20 years he's now off looking at Zafira's. [:(]

The paintwork needs tidying and i'm going to refurb the wheels (cookies aren't my favourite but it will keep the car original). I think I will also have to change the artic-truck sized steering wheel as I struggle to get in it.

I'm hoping to make it to Culzean on Sunday with the car, meeting at the Armidillo.

Well done, Derek - My first 911 was an SC and they are great!

Incidentally, it sounds a much better move than the targa you were thinking of getting in Dunstable. I live not far from there and have just today seen your older post regarding this - fortunately I saw this post soon afterwards.

People might think you're a bit weird going out and looking at it all the time, but don't worry - I did it with my SC and still now with my 993!

Even better, I still need to drive it whenever I get the chance[:D], you know it makes sense!

Andy Revell, that's the chap, I remember now!

For the wheels try Premier Wheels in Milnathort 07739 408579, they are excellent and cheap.

good luck Dan, my advice to achieve your goal - always walk away if it doesn't feel right and don't commit to anything before having it checked out by an expert.

Call me fussy but it took a year to find what i was looking for!!

all the best

Hi Crofty,
Sorry for the slow reply.
Good luck with the car hunting.
Just a thought, the 911 & Porsche mag did a very good buyers guide last year for 911SC. Back issues can be purchased and they won't break the bank.
Cheers
John
