Help - 986 3.2S throttle pedal loose!

Hi, the throttle pedal on my 2002 3.2S is loose. When gently pulling it backwards it flops back with no resistance (bottom hinge is fine). I believe that the metal "ball" end on the throttle unit (has rubber bellows around it) should locate in the socket on the back of the plastic pedal? Can anyone confirm this and advise how I get the back of the plastic throttle pedal properly located with the "ball" end of the throttle unit again?

Many thanks.

Not to worry, all done. Grip the shaft of the throttle sensor with pliers behind the lip it has half way down (you have to push back rubber gaitor to get to the lip). Line up the ball head of the throttle sensor shaft with the socket on the back of the plastic throttle pedal and push the two together. Grip hard with the pliers and push hard, it will then snap into place. After this the plastic throttle pedal should not be able to be pulled forward as it is now held back by the throttle sensor shaft.

Incidentally I noticed this becuase I was not getting full power when I put my foot down and throttle pedal felt different to before. Throttle sensor shaft had come out of the throttle pedal socket so was not getting proper throttle response or feel. Must have kicked the pedal somehow and pulled it forward!
