help and advice on seats

Howdy all

Ive got a porsche 944 turbo and had the old half leathette interior and currently changing it to the full leathette. The old front seats had the heated seat system and im wanting to transfer it over to the new ones.

Ive looked at the manual and can see its a big job. But before i do, i wanted to know if anyone else has tried this? any problems?

It's just stripping the covers off and swapping them - the electric blanket is separate. Of course if one set is sport and the other comfort then you can't just swap and I don't know if the blanket will transfer across.

Assuming both are the same I'd just use the original seats complete and swap the half leatehrette covers for the leather faced ones.
 
the seats i got are from a s2. they look the same except from the buttons on the side. rear seats are different but those are irelivent.
 
Relatively straight-forward then. I have done a base and that is easy, a backrest will be a bit trickier but still do-able DIY.

You can eaither get hog-rings and pliers or (as I did) use cable ties to tension it all up.
