New engine - try Prestige Salvage (sp?) in Leeds (post if you need the number) - otherwise, AutoFarm are working on a 'repair' to the problem - ask for Josh on 01865 331234

Bad luck - hope it gets worked out for you [:)]

A replacement engine from Porsche will be about £12k fitted.

If the dealer inspected the car two weeks ago, as part of a trouble solving ecxercise, then its not unreasonable to expect things to be fine 2 weeks later - you should ask your dealer, and involve the Porsche agent for your country to assist.

I would certainly consider the 996 'Silsleeve' engine from Autofarm. They have done quite a bit of developemt along with Perfect Bore and they can offer enhanced engines also. They will also do exchange engines but value will obviously depend on what is salvageable from your damaged engine.

There has been plenty of feaures in 911&Porsche World on their engine development.

Good luck anyhow.
