Help! Desperately seeking recording of 1970s 2.2l 911s for my Dad's funeral

Hi All - odd request time! I am desperately looking for a good quality recording of the engine sound from a 2.2l 911S from the 1970s to play at my father's funeral next week, can anyone help please? We are hoping to get the exact model of car as he rebuilt the one below 'back in the day' and it was very special to him (and yes that's me sat on the bonnet!).

If anyone can help at all it would be really appreciated please, his funeral in on Monday 25th and we need to get the 'music' recorded and sent to the funeral director this week / ASAP. Otherwise our options are dodgy youtube recordings or me sitting outside the crematorium revving my clapped-out Boxster! :|

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Emily,

Put a call in to the Club office and get in touch with Peter Cook. He runs the Club archive and if it exists he'll not only know, but be able to put his finger on it straight away!

Good luck, it's a lovely thought.

Hi Emily,

Can arrange a 911E for you if thats any help?
Give Chris a call at Pie Performance on 01787 249924, tell him you got details from Andy Watson as I have already spoken to him about your request.

Good Luck

Thank you everyone for being so helpful! We think we have one now (it has managed to capture some birdsong on the end which is the first thing we heard coming out of the hospital after he passed) - thanks to everyone that helped us find something and for being so generous :)

we are also trying to replicate the original car in flowers, not sure if that's a terrible idea or not but will let you know how it goes..!
