I decided to take the 944 for my commute around the M25 today. Just about to turn on to the entry slip and the drivers side windscreen wiper stopped working. I pulled over lifted the bonnet to find that the linkage arm from the motor to the crank under the windscreen wiper arm had fallen off! I tried to push it back on but to no avail so I limped the car home in the rain. When I got home and lifted the bonnet to have a look I found that the linkage arm would clip back on the windscreen wiper end but not the motor end. Has this happened to anyone else? I have ordered a new one and hopefully the new one will clip back on with no problem. I will update this thread is anyone is interested with progress, or not as the case may be.

Happens a lot, usually the cheap linkage is all you need. I found my old one held together with rubber bands when I bought it. [

At you have a whole wiper on the drivers side! Until the oval dash model they all had LHD wipers. Hope the bits cure the problem. Mike
The new part arrived today and I tried to fit it. The cap end fits on the windscreen wiper end but the hole end does not pop on to the motor end! So the question is am I fitting the bar the right way around and secondly should the hole end clip on to the nipple without any problem! Has anyone had to replace one of these before if so please can give me some pointers. Thanks
I finally got the bar to fit after much swearing. I took off wipers and removed all bolts so the whole wiper unit could come out. But then you have to take the heater out. So I put it all back together again as it started to rain. In the end I used brute force and a pair of mole grips to get it to clip on. So far so good it will be going for a test tomorrow. A real apin in the a*** job.
