I started the car this morning and reversed out of the drive.

I engaged (D, Tiptronic) and turned the sterring wheel and heard a 'squeak'.

Seem to disappear after the car has warmed up.

Any idea what it could be? Its getting a bit annoying.

Thanks

Is the squeaking coming from the engine bay? If so, it is probably the polyrib drive belt. Amongst other things, it drives the power steering pump, which will be loaded up when you turn the steering. After a while, the ribs become glazed, and they start to slip and squeal.

Hi Richard,

The sound does appear to be coming from engine. I had the Polyrib (Serpentine) belt changed when I did the water pump.

Could it be something else?

It would be best to get someone to stand by the engine with the car stationary and the engine on idle, when cold, while you turn the wheel lock-to-lock. The pump will be working hardest under these conditions so you should hear if it is the belt, or something else.
