Can I ask see advice decide to buy a 997 GEN2 Turbo S the price is stable and there is a nice selection of high spec cars, one I like is just right except no heated seats something I have never not had in over 20 years, do you feel it's a resale issue ? Do you feel it's a bad spec to not have. Nearly all others do have the option, the price is actually a few k lower than others .

Other thing I notice is many 997 cars have a worn seat bolster , the dealers all offer to repair before sale

If youve never had them i wouldnt worry, adaptive seats far more important.

Also Ceramic brakes are better than std.

Would recommend convertible over coupe.

Rear park assist pretty important for parking.

Make sure its genuine Turbo S.

My 2010 turbo S had carbon backed race seats with no heating and was fine and I never noticed it really ie missing the heating I had before in the turbo.......key thing is do you like the car, in which case that is more important :)

Don't lose any sleep over not having heated seats or residual value of a car you have yet to own. [:(]

If you like it, buy it, drive it, enjoy it and when the time comes sell it with fond memories. [:)]

Life's much too short! [:D]

Clive.

How are you, did I see you have swapped your turbo s

I stil have my 458 spider and a couple of Porkers and am buying a 997 cup currently to upgrade the race car

I ordered a 458 Aperta and missed out and ordered a 991 gt3rs and missed out by one slot so been unlucky on the new car front.....

As you say....live...enjoy....drive...worry when you are dead!

Good advice boys, guess its still human nature to not be the one left holding the dummy :)

Martin:
Buying a TTS, you certainly won't have purchased a dummy (or a lemon for that matter) and you won't look like a dummy either. It's certainly one of the nicest 911's I've ever owned. [:D]

I recommend you have the brake rotors carefully checked before purchase. They should be perfect as replacement at your cost will be extremely expensive. [:(]

David:
I'm good, thanks for asking and I hope you are too.

The 997 Cup is a brilliant car and if you get it, you should win every race with kit like that! [:D]

Did you see my post https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.asp?m=879520 ?- I thought you may have already put down a deposit on one! [;)]

Clive.
