For the first time this winter, I put the 997 C2 (Gen 2) to bed in the garage, and connected a Porsche Charger to the cigarette lighter. Unbeknownst to me, however, someone shortly thereafter disconnected the plug from the socket and the car has been sitting there for 2 months or so without charge.
Discovering last night that I have a completely flat battery, without any juice at all, I have put the Charger on and after 12 hours or so, it is coming back to life. However, the passenger door will not open or shut at all, and a few other features not working - also getting a PSM failure warning light and a few other flashing lights! Question is: am I best to try and take it for a drive (the engine seems to want to start) and then see if everything sorts itself out, or should I leave it on charge for a lot longer?
