Help Me Celebrate
The March 2013 issue marks my 10th Anniversary as 924 Register Secretary.

Send me a list of the top five individual Porsche 924 that you have ever seen, you can include your own car/s and say why they are so special to you.

Other articles would of course be appreciated too.

Best Regards and Happy New Year!

Well, I think you can guess that top of the list would be Claire's Turbo Cab... after six years work I guess it is good we still love it! Why? because it is unique, and actually is quite nice to drive, despite it being "hacked about" in a way that usually turns a nice car into an old dog!

Second... hmmm... Ricky Ceasars 924GTS has to be up there, for what it is, and yet Ricky making it so accessable.

Third... Dave Collet's old 924 - he should never have sold it - probably one of the nicest to drive 924's I have ever come across.

Fourth - Geoff Ives' 924 Turbo - because it is used and enjoyed, as a 924 should be.

Fifth... it is a basic, early yellow 924 - a basket-case at the moment - I haven't seen it yet, but if you have could you let me know - because I would like to buy it!

...and narrowly missing this list - or sixth in other words, but really needs a mention - the 924S of ... forgotten his name - I'll edit that later - from Dorset region who proved his 924S to be THE most fun car of the day at Haynes test track a few years ago... and regularly showed a clean set of wheels to supposedly superior metal on other tracks to... why? because it is FUN!!!

Best wishes Paul,

Tref.

I have actually seen such a car....
It was a few years ago, I'll see if I can find the details again.

So here's mine in no particular order. I could easily pick more

924 Carrera GT Shooting Brake. There's a lack of quality photos of these cars out there. Just love the rear end

924 Carrera GTR Richard Lloyd/ Tony Dron. So few pics around of the pre squared arched car that this became. Looks so much better with these arches in my opinion and the colour scheme for some reason!

Just because its simple. Lowered and retro race wheels. The stance on this is spot on.

924 Martini. Even simpler form of an early car with a splash of iconic racing colours

And can I have my car? Every parent thinks their baby is the prettiest!!
