I have vibration and a little shaking from the rear when accelerating hard. I think it might be the driveshafts/cv joints.
With weight on wheels I can twist the driveshafts a few mm and also there is side movement of about 10mm between the inner and outer cv joints. Is this wear or normal. Thanks in advance

Eddie, you should get movement side to side but it is the rotational movement that is no good. When you turn them, look underneath and listen for a click as you roll the driveshaft back and forward. Whichever ones is clicking is the worn one. Look out for split boots as well. They are only about £40 a half from GSF so i find it best to change the whole lot if they never have been done!

Thanks Alasdair , yep when rotate back and forth a clicking so will replace inners and outers.168k miles and one of the few things not replaced in its history.Just been for a quick run and on smooth roads ok but once on ruogher surfaces it is more noticeable. Thanks again for the assessment.
